My Story
Prior to joining Sorare on 19th August 2020 with an initial investment of £50 I had dabbled in a few other football platforms with some success. However I was becoming a bit disillusioned with the way the companies were operating. I decided to look into Sorare the company in more detail, I was immediately impressed with the vision of the company had and was very excited to see ex professional football player and World Cup winner Andre Schurle was an investor.
From what I had read up on Sorare I was confident that this was the product for me. Immediately, I could see the potential of this worldwide product. I opened my account and picked my free 10 common cards and entered my first rookie tournament where I managed to win another free common card. Although common cards hold no monetary value, they can be very useful.
I now had a good understanding of how Sorare worked so decided to buy some rare cards to enable me to enter other tournaments. Due to my limited budget I knew I couldn't afford to buy the finished article, so had to research in detail to find players who were cheaper but would still enable me to be competitive in tournaments to win rewards.
For me, this is where this platforms excels as your football knowledge can really pay dividends. I was scouting players from all over the world ranging from Argentina to Japan. To aid me with my research I used a number of tools including Sofascore, Whoscored & Transfermkt. Once I had identified a player I was happy with I would make a final check on Soraredata to see a history of that players score on the scoring matrix.
Using the above methods I purchased 10 players for a total cost of £50. The majority of players I bought were youngsters who wouldn't play immediately but who I believe in time would become very good players. Three of ten players I bought I was confident they could make an immediate impact and make me competitive in tournaments.
As five players are needed to enter a tournament I decided to invest another £50 to buy more players who would complete a team capable of challenging for rewards in a tournament. I bought a few more youngsters and 3 players who I believed were good enough to be in contention for my tournament team. After a few weeks of coming close I finally won my first reward in div 4 global with a team that cost just £53.50.
My reward for placing in the tournament was the chap below. He is currently valued around £12 which is 20% of the total cost of my team entry.
A week later and another £50 invested I placed in the under 23 tournament with a team that cost £55.

I've demonstrated that you don't need to spend hundreds of pounds to be competitive and to win rewards. Obviously the more you have to invest then your chances of winning rewards are much higher. The beauty of Sorare is that it caters for all types of budgets.
I have also profited from trading players on Sorare. I have traded many players and have made some great profit which has enabled me to buy more and more players. Here is one example of my trades :
I purchased Carlos Soler on 1.10.2020 for £9.44 and sold for £54 on 10.11.2020. 500% profit in just 6 weeks! This was largely down to the fact that Soler has been in terrific form since the start of the season. Although I would have to liked to have kept Soler, this trade enabled me to purchase 6 more players who I believe will make me more profit than Soler alone.
At the time of writing I have now invested £257. I have won 5 player cards in total excluding common cards and won .095 Ethereum (£40 aprrox). The Ethereum I have won has been reinvested in players. I now own 165 players with an estimated value £15,000. The estimated value is calculated using soraredata one month price average.
I've produced my story to show people who are considering joining Sorare that success is possible even with a small investment. Patience is key when starting with a small budget but I have no doubt that my cheap buys will eventually be winning me rewards on a regular basis. Research is key!
Bayern Munich (the current European champions) have recently joined Sorare, and with more global teams coming on board every week I firmly believe the potential of Sorare is mouth watering. Customers in over 50 countries already show the massive potential Sorare has.
